10 reviews for My First Otter Book for Kids 3-5

  1. Shannon Karasti

I thought that this was a really cute book for super young readers! All of the pictures of otters were adorable and accurate, and the author perfectly sprinkled in cartoon otters with the real otters without it taking away from the book.

All of the content was great, and I have two things to say about it. It was perfect how the author included all of the interesting and relevant facts about otters, however I thought that the book was organized a little weird. By this I mean I didn’t feel or see any transitions from one point to the other, and it made the reading flow of this book not as good as it could have been. Lastly, I thought that it was a really smart choice to make this book interactive. It helps super young readers apply what they learn, helping it to solidify in their memories better. Although, I would highly recommend that parents read this with their little ones. This is because some of the interactive bits might be confusing to kids, or they might need a little assistance in being able to do said activities. But, this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. It’s a good thing in the case, actually, because it helps to promote parents spending time with their kids.

  2. SunriseMornings2024

This is a nice little book about otters. I love the fun facts, as well as the questions and activities on some pages. There are counting exercises, mazes and questions related to the things a kid might learn in the book. I also appreciate seeing actual photos for better context. Get them for you guys kids that love animals!

  7. ChapterChats1988

I like how fun each image is. I love the well-designed illustration. The book has questions and games that reinforce learning. Otis is so cute. At the end, there is a message about protecting water for otters, which is important. Highly recommend this book to kids

This otter book is very cute and in particular, kids will love the interactive parts where they have to answer questions, do mazes, counting and so on.

  10. Jennifer Jones

This book was adorable with Otis and all the cute otter pictures. I love that it is interactive while giving basic information on the otters for small children. Finding the path to where the otter lives and picking out what they eat helps to keep kids engaged while learning about animals. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
