Just like all of the other books in this series, this book was so cute, informational, and amazing all around! The activities will help little ones learn all about sea turtles, and reading this book will be fun for them. While this book was next to flawless, I have one note to make.

I liked the ending section about making sure to keep beaches and oceans clean, that’s great! The part I had an issue with was the drawing on page 29. I think that, because the sea turtle looks so sad and helpless, kids might be sad or scared by this part of the book and not fully enjoy the important activity. This section would be perfect if it was just the water with things for kids to find that can potentially be harmful to sea turtles (in less words, keep the picture but subtract the sea turtle).

Other than that, though, bravo on another great book for young readers!

This book is perfect for preschool age children (ages 3-5). The text is simple and the photographs are clear. There are a couple pages that extend the book by having the child answer certain questions. As a sped teacher, I appreciated that some of the questions were accompanied by visuals, which will help some children respond by pointing.

  3. Jennifer Jones

This series is so cute. I loved the pictures of the sea turtles, especially the babies. The name Shelly was adorable, it had activities for kids to keep their attention on the book and talks about how to help turtles. A cute way to get kids to know about and help animals and their environments. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

If you are looking for a book to teach your littles about sea turtles and make it interactive and fun this is the book for you. The book has great information for kids to learn facts about the sea turtles as well as the real dangers they face. It’s a book that can be read alone or out loud and be thoroughly enjoyed.

  5. Sharon A Lavy

I enjoyed the illustrations and learning facts about Shelly the sea turtle. I learned things I didn’t know, like what sea turtles like to eat. I was reminded of things I already knew such as keeping trash out of the ocean. We need to be reminded often of how to take care of God’s creation.

  6. AmyH

This is a perfect book for introducing sea turtles to toddlers or preschoolers. Whether you have kids at home work with kids of this age – this book is a winner! I really loved how the information was provided in a clear and concise way. Each page also had an age-appropriate activity to help reinforce the fact that was learned.

This book features stunning photos of sea turtles that my son absolutely loves. It’s very interactive, with questions throughout that engage him and make learning about sea turtles fun. Shelley is a fun sea turtle in this delightful book of fun facts, questions and answers, and activities. Nice illustrations for an e-book, with lots of interesting journeys for the reader’s imagination – including games. Perfect for a rainy afternoon, but have your globe ready to find places Shelley might live.

  13. JakeB

Cute book for little ones. This can help kiddos grow their interest in sea turtles (and all animals). The images are clear and the words are simple and easy to read. There are quick “point at” activities too. I would expect this to be a book to read time and time again.

  14. QM Gel

I didn’t have a good first impression because of the formatting issue at the start of the book, but it’s actually better than I expected. The cover drew me in and I think seeing actual pictures would be fun and it is! I love the questions the author throws in, as well as the activities in the book. I would recommend this book!
